As the active creator and maintainer of the SVG and related web standards, W3C has an interest in the success of the SVG web graphics standard and related activities. Since the first SVG Open conference in Zurich in 2002, W3C has been supporting the conference by helping to announce the conference, sending speakers, organizing panel sessions and sending out the call for participation.
