Conference and Exhibition

You should log in to check for any reviewer suggestions regarding your abstract or the presentation itself. Abstracts are published here, and can be updated by the presenter at any time by uploading a new file of the same name. You should also verify that all other information is complete and accurate, and you should enter a short biography if you have not already done so.

Presenters are asked to create and upload a paper in a subset of the DocBook format before August 6. DocBook is a very general XML grammar, supporting a wide variety of document types. The subset we use is the IDEAlliance XML Conference Paper DocBook XML Subset.

For your convenience we have a template to use as a starting point.

Although it is possible to write technical articles directly in XML, many authors find it more convenient to use specialised XML or DocBook editors. Some examples:

To submit your paper go to 'your home' and click on 'edit' behind your accepted paper. The following page will then tell you how to submit your paper.

Presenters are also asked to create and upload their presentation slides. We recommend creating your slides using SVG and/or other XML standards, there are a number of free toolkits available for this purpose.

Each presentation room will have a microphone, and a projector for hooking up a laptop. Wireless Internet access is available in each presentation room, but please do take a copy of your presentation with you on a CD or a memory device like USB memory.

Presenters leading a panel discussion do not need to submit a paper or presentation slides in advance of the conference. They should make sure their submitted abstract includes an agenda for the panel discussion, and that they have listed each panelist as a co-author.

In advance of your panel discussion, it is recommended that you discuss the agenda with all panelists, and that you prepare your own list of questions for the panelists in case this is needed to start the flow of questions from the audience.
