2nd Annual Conference on Scalable Vector Graphics
The conference and exhibition will be held from Sunday, July 13, 2003 to Friday, July 18, 2003 at the Westin Bayshore Resort & Marina in Vancouver, Canada.
The Westin Bayshore Resort & Marina is conveniently located next to Stanley Park – featuring over 1000 acres of natural woods, lakes, and meadows sprinkled with winding paths and trails. Step outside the doors of the Westin Bayshore Resort & Marina, and onto the Seawall, where you can jog, roller blade, bike or walk the 10km or 6.5 mile path along the ocean surrounding Stanley Park and to numerous ocean beaches.
The resort is also located minutes from the heart of downtown Vancouver where you can stroll the streets of historic Gastown, explore diverse Robson Street shops and restaurants, visit the Vancouver Art Gallery, sample delicious treats in China Town, and experience the excitement of the Granville Island markets.
Get a close-up look at white beluga whales at the nearby Vancouver Aquarium, or indulge in a little people watching at the bustling cruise ship terminal at Canada Place, a stunning landmark with giant sails within walking distance of the Resort.
We recommend staying at the conference hotel, and we have made arrangements for special discounted rates on a block of rooms there. These rates apply throughout your stay, including contiguous days extending before and after the conference, as long as the room remains available. To get these rates, print the SVG Open 2003 hotel reservation form, fill it in, and fax or mail it directly to the Westin Bayshore Resort & Marina before June 12, 2003 (fax number and address given on form). Alternatively, call the hotel at (604)682-3377 and ask for the "SVG Open" conference rates. The table of rates is shown in Canadian and U.S. dollars below:
|Canadian $ per night||Approx U.S. $ equivalent|
|Main Building (ROH)*
|Tower Building (ROH)*

* ROH denotes "Run of House", which means the hotel will select room location based on accommodation availability in that section.
